Getting Serious About Air

You and I can say no to contaminated water, and we can say no to contaminated food, but we can’t hold our breath for long. Air goes in whether it’s clean or not, so boy am I grateful for clean, fresh air. It sure is a luxury.

Because sadly, air is not all that clean these days, indoors or out, as the atmosphere around us has been compromised, all over the USA and the world. Many of us are still unable to breathe free and clean, so be sure to thank your lucky stars if you are. I’ve turned into a self-professed air snob, and have been known to ask my Uber drive to pull over and drop me off on the side of the road because his toxic air freshener dangling from the rear view mirror was killing me. (I’d rather be stranded than dead!)

So I’m serious when I say get serious about air. Seriously, especially this time of year when houses are sealed up tight. Here are seven simple, do-able and inexpensive steps you can take to improve the air quality of your at-home workout space, making your workout a wellness windfall

1. Hoard Houseplants
I’m anti-hoarding except when it comes to houseplants (and salt lamps and crystals 🤗). Plants are high vibing gifts from God, no exaggeration, so go get some and bring them into your workout space.
2. Burn Beeswax or Bust
Most candles pollute, and are like chemical smoke stacks brought into your living space. Beeswax candles are the exception – they actually clean the air.
3. Crack Open a Window
I know energy costs are soaring, but if you can crack open a window – even for just the duration of your workout – your lungs will thank you for it.
4. Let Salt Lamps Shine
To be totally honest, salt lamps are “just okay” when it comes to improving air quality. They help a little, but they also mitigate EMFs a little, making them worth a go. (Every little bit helps!)
5. Va Va Vacuum
Toxins tag along to dust and dirt, so vacuuming up your workout space pre-workout is a very very good idea.

Thomas Edison said, “The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will involve the patient in the proper use of food, fresh air and exercise.” Notice, he didn’t just say air, he said fresh air.

Well, the future is right now, and the doctor is your own self!  So let’s goooooo…..Let’s Move!, and let’s pig out on (fresh) air.
