Your Mat Is Calling 📞

When you’re feeling any level of mental and/or physical fatigue, when your hips, knees and/or feet are achy or fragile, or when your spine needs some de-compression, hit the mat. 

A very easy to install, totally underrated, and super effective wellness hack is to simply get down on the mat. You’ll find, once you’re sitting or laying on your mat, nourishing movement, inevitably, ensues. It might be in the form of a spine twist. It might be taking a few deep breaths. It might be doing an inversion, or hugging your knees to your chest and rocking side to side. Intuitive movements like these end up being perfect â€“ just what the doctor ordered. 

And let it be known that mat work is a real workout. There’s an outdated notion that working out needs to be jumping, lifting weights, sweating, lunging, etc. Of course these things can be components of a great workout. However, sometimes, a more nurturing series of movements might be more beneficial. Sometimes, what your body is seeking in order to energetically level up, is mat work.  

If you’re a hiker, dancer, walker or cyclist, if you’re on your feet all day, or if you’re crunched over a desk too often, mat work might be optimal.
