Reaping Huge Benefits

Lately, my two workout goals have been a little sweating and a lot stretching, on the daily. It’s been dangerously icy and bitter cold outside, which makes for moving around the world very arduous. I was just telling my husband how simply driving to and from the grocery store feels like an “American Ninja” obstacle course, between suiting up with all the winter gear (the boots, the warmest hat, buttoning ever button on your jacket, et al) and navigating the sheets of ice everywhere. Anything done outside right now in my world is stressful and contracting. For many of us in North America and beyond, this winter has been especially wearisome (and it’s only February 🤪), but it’s a great time to...let movement be your medicine.

#1:Break a sweat.
This will heat up your core temperature, soften your joints and melt away muscular tension. It’ll elevate your mood too.
#2:Stretch out.
This will reclaim space for energy to flow in the body, regulate your nervous system, and induce embodiment. It helps move the lymph as well.

HUGE BENEFITS, RIGHT?
There isn’t a drug or a doctor on planet Earth that can accomplish all of this so quickly and with zero negative side effects.

There are valid excuses NOT to workout right now. There are also valid reasons why we should try our darnedest to get on our mats. Let’s place our focus on all the benefits we will accrue by sweating and stretching. Those benefits? Keeping you feeling good, looking great and shining bright.

Let’ s Move!
