“Feel Good” Comes First
“Feel good, look great, shine bright” is a phrase I casually started spewing in classes long ago as a way of pumping people up. It organically arose, and I’ve since repeated it again and again. In fact, “feel good, look great, shine bright” is prominently featured on my website and has become my unofficial, three-step formula for empowered wellness…albeit, a bit vague.
Step one, feel good so energy flows and any type of action is a delight.
Step two, look great….who doesn’t want to look great? Looking great is a confidence booster and a magnetizer.
Step three, shine bright which is another way of saying, inspired living.
While “Feel good, look great, shine bright” is organic, it is not in a random order. “Feel good” unequivocally comes first. It’s a pre-requsite to everything! I’ve been known to use this quirky analogy – imagine you’re at a party but you have a headache, so instead of dancing and socializing and having an all-around great time, you’re desperate to crawl underneath the covers, turn off the lights and call it a night.
So how do we get rid of the headache and enjoy the party? With acute embodiment, or as I like to say be like Goldilocks. We gotta get clued into how we’re feeling, and what we may or may not need, in order to feel good. Big discernment. Be on the hunt for just right. No to too hot…no to too cold…yes to just right. Instead of porridge, we’re discerning our movement protocol and the how/what/when of other various lifestyle tools. Dropping in to your body is the catalyst that starts it all!
So get embodied, and put your focus on the “feel good” part. All the other parts (“look great” and “shine bright”) are sure to ensue. The time is now to feel good, look great and shine bright.
Let’s Move! 🤗
