“Close your eyes, fall in love, stay there.” – Rumi

After years of working with people and being privy to some clients’ destructive inner dialogs, I realized self-criticism is the biggest obstacle to true wellness, and it usually comes from a place of self-loathing. At first, I thought, “Oh, it’s just words” but as my understanding of health and happiness grew, I realized that words  stem from beliefs, and beliefs rule the world. How we feel about ourselves is of supreme importance.

So I started giving clients affirmations, like I am strong. My body is intelligent. I have discipline. I’d have my clients write these affirmations down in their journals every day, and say them out loud while working out. In no time at all, the affirmations became reality. Eventually, self-love would snuff out the loathing.

Exercising from a place of love means you treat yourself right – not too little, not too much. It’s the powerful point of view that exercise is nurturing, not punishment. While you’re exercising your communing with yourself, the VIP of your life. Instead of torture, exercise becomes a love-fest!

Our tenth workout in a row is Affirmative Flow. It’s short (only 15minutes) and very sweet. You can read the affirmations that pop up on the screen, and literally speak them into existence.

It’s DAY 10! You made it! It’s been 10 consecutive days of saying yes to movement and yes to yourself. I’m sending you a virtual hug – I’m proud of you. There is nothing that makes me happier than witnessing empowered wellness Way to stick with it – congratulations!. xo Ellen
